Frequently Asked Questions
General FAQs
A life coach is wellness professional who assists clients in growing into the best version of themselves. They provide support and accountability to clients who are seeking to move past a stuck point in their life.
No matter what life circumstances, changes, or traumas you have faced, the Equine Gestalt Coaching Method® (EGCM) can help you move forward to achieve your goals and intentions for a fuller and happier life. Horses have a unique ability to see deep within us, touching places in our hearts that we may not have discovered ourselves. Their presence and touch can heal, making whole what was fragmented and restoring what was lost.
EGCM sessions are tailored to each individual's unique needs. Some prefer private sessions with just the horse and coach, while others find empowerment and connection in group settings, retreats, and workshops. Regardless of the format, you will experience respect and safety in a nurturing and confidential environment.
There is no simple or single answer to this question, as each session is as unique as the individual participating. What remains consistent is that EGCM is an effective and healing method designed to bring wholeness, awareness, and productive change to your life. This is achieved through the creative Gestalt process, facilitated by the expertise and healing abilities of the horse and coach, along with your own inner wisdom.
Sometimes. In some cases, a client comes in with one really big pressing issue that is blocking them right now. In their case, it may only take one session to gain clarity and move forward. We always recommend at least one follow-up session via phone in these cases to solidify the clarity and provide extra support and encouragement.
No! All coaching sessions are at the free will of the horse (coach) in a roundpen and no riding or experience around horses is needed.
Phone and video conference coaching take place in the comfort of your own home. Most of the coaching with the horses will take place in a private round pen away from away from any distractions to ensure complete privacy.
The only thing I require is closed toed footware. No sandals or flipflops. Wear clothes that are comfortable to move around in.
If you are afraid of horses, this is the ideal place to confront your fears safely. In a supportive environment, you can practice stepping through fear into courage. The more we become comfortable with discomfort, the more fully we can experience life.
No. The horse you work with will be one of the horses in our healing herd. If you have your own horse(s), your experience and partnership with them after a session may change and deepen.

Life coaching is a side-by-side process to move a client into their own clarity and truth. The co-active process holds the truth that everyone who comes to a session is whole and has their own answers to life’s greatest questions just outside their awareness. As coaches, we encourage deep dives into all parts of self, good and bad, to come up with answers that best suit the client. Therapy is talk centered and assumes that the therapist has all of the answers a client needs to change their life. The Equine Gestalt Coaching Method® is experiential in nature and the coach is simply a guide to unlocking the answers already within the client.
